ANSI Centrifugal Process Pumps
In 1977, the American National Standard Institute (ANSI) established criteria for centrifugal pumps in terms of dimensions, chemical composition of the materials and safety specifications, to cover the needs from the chemical process industry. Design features were established, such as being self-venting, foot mounted, center line discharge and back pull-out disassembly. The ANSI pump revolves around a basic hydraulic and mechanical design concept to ensure greater efficiency in the range of operation, flexible application and superior interchangeability.
